Girish Ramachandran currently is the Head of Asia Pacific (APAC) region of TCS. In his previous role as the Corporate Vice President he was a part of the CEO’s office and was responsible for strategic business initiatives for the organization.
Girish has held several key portfolios in the organisation. He was Head of Europe for over 9 years and led the Middle East, Africa and Mediterranean business for 2 years. Girish has lived in Europe for a decade. During his tenure as Head of Europe, the business grew rapidly over a short span of time. He was instrumental in building business with many large and key customers, in sectors ranging from banking to teleco.

Girish joined TCS in 1994. In his 20-year career he’s worked in diverse roles including Head of Business Intelligence Practice worldwide as well as Executive Sponsor of customer relationships, with multiple customers across the world.
He holds executive board positions at the Europe-India Institute and International Business Foundation Amsterdam. He is also the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industries’ Benelux chapter and also is on the board of Kooh Sports.
Girish holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu and a Master’s degree in Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. He is also a recipient of the Frans Banninck Cocq Medal from the Mayor of Amsterdam.
Girish is an avid sports lover and a long distance runner. He also lectures at universities across Europe.
He lives in Mumbai, with his wife Rupa and son Akshaj.
